I've just received my TCR but all my courses transfered as " OTHER COURSES IN YOUR ACADEMIC ACCOUNT:"... no GE appears in blue (on my STARS report) ... I'm an international student, so idk if that changes the way my coursework is seen... anyone in the same situation?

also, do you know if during orientation we get some advice about this?

This means that none of your courses replaced classes you are required to take. They show up as “unit credit” instead. That means you are beginning college with X units completed instead of zero. It can waive elective requirements and also will allow you to register earlier than your friends.

Only a handful of AP courses actually waive classes at USC.

Depends on how many credits you have as to what standing you have. I believe you need at least 30 semester credits to be given sophomore standing (which can help a bit in registration) and 60 or more to be given JR standing. If you’ve never attended a college before, you would still be a freshman. Many engineering students who enter with a lot of AP & other credits can be JR standing but still an entering freshman. 60 is the most credits they will give entering freshmen.
