Help! Interview compulsory?

<p>Hi, I'm an international student applying for MIT during the regular app process.</p>

<p>I submitted my application for MIT yesterday, only to find out that the deadline for interviews had passed!</p>

<p>Are interviews compulsory? My friends are divided on this matter, some say its fine, some say im doomed</p>
