I'm stuck in my History 22 class and i'm waitlisted 2/3 for the discussion. The TA said that the professors definitely not giving out PTE numbers, and from the looks of it, I'm not getting into this class.

So, question-- Should I get into Art History 54 (Modern Art with Boime) even though I've already missed THREE (ouch) lectures? What has anyone heard about this class? Friends have told me that Boime is one of the harder professors, and of course, Art History always has a ton of reading... However, I'm only taking my GE Cluster seminar (72CW on Men and Masculinity, which seems to be pretty easy), and Phy Sci 5 (ridiculously easy, minimal work, I already know all the biology to it). What do you guys think? If not, I'll be taking some ridiculous 2 unit class that doesn't fufill a GE (I only have my historical analysis GE left, anyways).

Please let me know!!! The next lecture for AH54 is TOMORROW... 9:30AM at Dodd. AHAdkfsh.!

Take History 13C if you don't mind being behind by one book (which is pretty light reading and is 300 pages but you can plow through easily). There should be no problem enrolling in this course. It's a Tuesday/Thursday course. Nothing was covered in discussion last week. The last 3 lectures have been on Progressivism...

i second history 13c. its easy (ONLY a midterm and final, and hes giving the questions in advance), the professor is great, and all the discussions are still open.

I'm going to have discussion tomorrow so I can tell you then.

Not everyone has gotten their books yet because they're not available at Ackerman supposedly. So the TAs are a bit lenient with this week as well.

is there any way i can get lecture notes from you guys? i know it sucks but it would really really really really reaaaaaaally be of help to me. like, seriously.

Yes, the class is doable. The professor is also entertaining.

Yeah, I can share my notes with you... I'm not the most anal note-taker though but sure. The professor is having office hours tomorrow after class instead of after Tuesdays as usual. I'm sure he'll be able to help get you up to speed as well.

emmeline, when/where should i get the notes from you?

and does ANYONE have A Fierce Discontent or The Great Bull Market books?!?!! seriously. i've been to textbooks plus and ackerman and they're out. or at least textbooks plus is closed today (do they open on the weekends? and if they dont, why not?! anger and rage.)

im trying hard not to freak out although i feel quite behind right now. gahh.

btw, i'm in the friday1PM section? daniel, did i meet you on friday?

They have the "Great Bull Market" Under different classes. I think the one I got it under was a graduate 20's course. I think it sold out under the 13C class but I remember that another class was using the book as well. Did you ask the workers at the Book Store to run the Title through their system?

I'm in the same situation as DH (added 13C a few lectures late late), and I could use a copy of these notes if at all possible - it'd be a great help :) thanks in advance

sooooo how important IS A Fierce Discontent? because i'm planning to skim the entire thing tonight and i want to know how / if itll be a waste of my time / and etc. basically, should i? or should i not?
