help! list of schools with open spaces?

<p>my friend hasn't been to college yet. he's in japan and wants to start in the fall, but doesn't really know what to do. i know there's a list of schools that still have open spaces in the summer... but i don't know how to find it. can anyone point me in the right direction? if you have ANY ADVICE, please comment. we're in new york city.</p>

<p>P.S. Don't pay attention to the note "Answer this question only if you're applying in order to attend college during the Sept 1, 2006 through Aug 31, 2007 academic year." I have tried it, it does work for the upcoming academic year.</p>

<p>I think you can still apply to CUNYs in NYC, regardless of the date. It's just recommended that you register before August so that you're possibly ensured a spot in the freshmen class.</p>
