<p>I didn't think my family was going to apply for financial aid so i selected "no" on the commonapp when they asked if you intend to apply for financial aid. now, my mom told me we are, and she has been doing the FAFSA form. will the colleges ignore the form because i clicked "no", or will they receive it and review it no matter what i selected on the common app? im stressing out. thanks</p>
<p>Go ahead and file. Make sure you look at the financial aid filing requirements for each school. You need to note deadlines, make sure to file any forms other than FAFSA the school requires (some require Profile, some have their own form, others just want the FAFSA). It’s hard to say whether or not it will make a difference. Many schools don’t pay any attention to that question, while others do … just file for aid & see what happens.</p>
