Ok. Let's do this again.
I'm an international student, I live in Italy and I'm currently in high school.
I made different posts here, searching for cognitive science universities, but now I changed my mind (well, actually I found what I was searching.. that is another major). In fact, I'm now looking foward in Marketing and Management something like this.

STATS:
SAT I: 1640 (M 620 CR 540 W 480) - retaking in June and/or Sep
GPA: I had 3.45 in first semester, then I had problems and
- in the worst case, I get 3.21
- in the best case I get 3.5
ECs: LOTS of extracurriculars, afternoon courses, university courses online and everything.

Our school (in Italy) does not have Honors or AP courses, but we have schools divided by difficulties on the courseload. I'm in the Liceum (that is, what's known as the most difficult school). If you need me to write down the list of classes I take and the grades, just ask.

I am not here to just 'find' schools, because I'm not really sure I will be able to come to the USA. I'm searching for really good schools based in California, where there's a good environment and where I will be able to get help searching for job.
If it helps, I'm gonna apply also to the Bocconi University in Milan and I'm searching for some universities like that one,

Cost is not a problem, but the uni(s) have to be in a place where is a good weather year-round. NO snow, little rain (as I said, I prefer Cali, that should be the only state that has this climate?).

I hope you can help me. Thank you :)

ah, I forgot the list of school I like/want(ed) to apply to. (but I’m not stuck with them. as I said, I’m searching and that’s why I need help)

UCSD (for Cog Sci)

U of Arizona (both for cog sci and business school)

SDSU (for Marketing)
and maybe UC Santa Cruz (but I’m not really sure)
I also liked UCLA and UC Berkeley and USC, but I do not have the grades for them.

Pepperdine seems like a good school for you, that might be just a bit reachy if you don’t get your SAT’s up.

Is it in a big city?

Ah, also I am searching for reachy-low match school - I want them to be very good school, something that’s worth to move out of Italy.

re: Pepperdine: only if woahika is deeply religious (evangelical Christian) and conservative - it’s a great university to nurture your faith but the mandatory bible study and chapel attendance could be offputting for students whose faith isn’t a central part of their life.

If money isn’t a concern: UCD, UCSC, USan Francisco, St Mary’s of California, Santa Clara, USan Diego, LMU, Chapman, SDSU, Cal Poly SLO, Chico Honors, CPP Honors.
Check out ASU Barrett, UDenver, UTulsa, University of Colorado-Boulder.

omg, no I’m not very religious at all…

Thank you for the help! I will take a look. Are they reaches or matches?

they run the gamut for your stats but mostly matches, with a few safeties that have excellent programs (like Chico Honors). UCD and Cal Poly would be reaches.

some people say CSU is not a great uni, is that true? like, not worth it? remember I have to pay a lot of money, and make sacrifice etc…

ok, and I’m asking a very odd question.
In Italy we have some schools (say, Bocconi University) that are well-known universities and are known for helping students finding high-paied jobs. Are there such schools in the USA? or all the schools have connections with the job world?

Also, could you please say what are safeties and what are reaches? And what about the schools I’ve written above?
I’m just wondering about financial aid (that is a plus, but still not useless).

Btw, I would prefer to live in San Diego/LA zone or some near places (maybe walking friendly cities…)

thanks for the help!
