Hey everyone. I'm having trouble finding good match schools. I think the ones on my list are either too easy or too hard to get into, but maybe I'm wrong. I want to major in business (marketing). Let me know what you think and please give me some schools to consider, thanks!

So far on list..
-Berkeley
-Irvine
-Cal Poly Slo
-UTexas at Austin
-UMiami
-University of Arizona
-Santa Clara University
-Arizona State
-Uwashington
-UOregon

By the way, I have a 4.0 W GPA and a 2010 SAT. Taking subject tests in Dec. Work Experience as a manager over summer and currently Independent salesman for newly released energy drink. Rest of ECs are decent.

Good list, here are some others to consider:

Georgetown University
Indiana University at Bloomington
Bentley University
Emory University
Boston University
University of North Carolina
Penn State University
Babson University
Cornell University
University of Southern California
University of Illinois
University of Michigan
Carnegie-Mellon University
University of Pittsburg
and, of course, Wharton and NYU–but those are a bit difficult to get into

Both Indiana Univ (on list above) and University of Alabama (at Tuscaloosa) give great scholarships to good students coming from other states.

Berkeley and UT-Austin are probably the toughest schools to get into in your list. All the rest shouldn’t be hard for you. You can include USC, Pepperdine and Santa Clara for California schools.

I also want to major in business (marketing) I’m a little behind on the research though. I have already been accepted into the Kelley school of Business at Indiana and I just applied to University of Virginia.
I have a 4.0 and a 1960 on the SAT
Plus a ton of ECs.

I’m thinking of Carnegie-Mellon now, but I don’t know much about it. Can someone help me with my search. I’m scared I don’t have enough options—and fast!!

From your list, an UW 3.4 will make Berkeley & Texas (OOS) tough. Miami & Washington will be high match; the rest should be safeties.

From Calcruzer’s list: Virtually no chance at Penn-Wharton, NYU or Georgetown. Carolina (OOS), Cornell & Michigan (OOS) will be longshots as well. Emory, USC, Bentley and Carn-Mellon will be tough but probably 2 or 3 wins in that group. The rest are pretty safe.

Look into Minnesota-Twin Cities and possibly Wisconsin-Madison.
