Help Me Add a Few Colleges to my List!

Excuse my horrible title capitalization, please. :)

So my list is as follows:
Claremont McKenna College
Tufts U
Macalester College
Carleton College
U Puget Sound
Gonzaga U
USC (maybe..)

I'm really gearing towards a major/focus in International Relations. I love languages and culture and I'm really interested in how countries work together, or against each other.

Short list of stats:
My ACT:
31: 34 English, 36 Reading, 32 Combined Eng/Writing, 27 Math, 28 science (from previous test)
GPA: 3.96/4.08
Rank: 13/339

My list of EC's is pretty strong... I just have a lack of strong community service.. (oops)
So yeah, any ideas? I'm really open to anything, I'd just like to add 1 or 2 to my list. My only restriction is I'd like to stay out of the south... not my cup of tea.

Thanks

Will you need merit-based financial aid? If not, I would add Boston College to your list. Another school to consider is George Washington in DC, where you will get some merit aid.

It’s not a necessity, but if there is none, I would need a school that meets close to 100% demonstrated need.

" I would need a school that meets close to 100% demonstrated need."

Take a look at Chapman University. Great automatic need-blind merit-aid.

Thank you for the reply, but Chapman doesn’t have an international relations major, which is something I really want.

Might look at Holy Cross-highly ranked LAC 1 hour from Boston. HC meets 100% demonstrated need and has a very nice campus. While hc doesn’t offer international relations major the school has produced several ambassadors and Roll Call rated Holy Cross tops in production of senators/congressmen per capita.

AMPH007, IR occasionally referred to as IS. [International relations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](International relations - Wikipedia)

@par72:Thanks! I’ll look into it.

@OCELITE: Lol, that’s grad programs… I’m gonna be an undergrad.

AMPH007,
Students at Chapman would be taking it under political science for their undergrad program, it covers IR courses also. Keep in mind that IR or IS courses in different schools will be listed under different programs. Some schools may list theirs under IR or IS, others maybe under PoliSci. You just need to know where to find them. It’s like people wanting to take pre-med courses and thinking that it might be under a pre-med major, but it’s not.
There are certain schools that have theirs listed under IR:
Brown, Carnegie Mellon, Colgate, College of William and Mary, George Washington U, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Middlebury, NYU, Northwestern, Stanford, Tufts, UVA, and Wash U St. Louis.
