hey everyone i was just wondering if you could give me some suggestions for colleges to look into because i have no idea where to start. i think i pretty much know what i want...
*my ideal situation would be: medium sized, near a city, diverse student body (thats my only problem with tufts) good international relations program (and i dunno if this exisits but close to skiing or beach would be AMAZING)
*i am female, my dad is from the middle east ive been there every other summer for all my 17 years. i go to an okay public school in new hampshire. top 10% of my class, sats: m:750, v:650, w:710... humn sat2s: math iic:700... and i still have to take spanish and us history, i hope/guess someplace around 700 in both.
* i have really good study abroad/ community service stuff, varsity sports, leadership stuff etc, i work 20 + hours a week, my school only offers 3AP classes and i'm taking 2, one college course at UNH.
any imput would be absolutely AMAZING. thank you so much for your time!

Georgetown University is quite possibly the best for what you want. My sister did her graduate studies at Georgetown and loved it.

Tufts is also very good. I am not sure why you think diversity would be a problem.

Tufts and Georgetown at like 10% international. That in of itself is a sign of great diversity.

Johns Hopkins is also excellent in International Relations.

Princeton, although a reach, is also excellent in International Relations.

Claremont McKenna College has a solid International Relations/Political Science department.

Other schools with good IR programs include George Washington University, Michigan State University, Penn, Syracuse and Wisconsin-Madison.

If you are willing to consider Political Science in lieu of International Relations, it will open things up for you. I would definitely look into the following in addition to the schools above:
Cornell University
Indiana University-Bloomington
University of California-Berkeley
University of Chicago
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
University of Rochester

Although perhaps not as strong in International Relations as the schools in Alexandre's list, here are some other colleges that offer international relations near skiing or beach:
Pitzer (CA)
Pomona (CA)
USC
UC Davis
U Colorado Boulder
Colby (ME)
Boston U
Colgate (NY)
Hamilton (NY)
Bucknell (PA)
Vassar (NY)
NYU
Middlebury (VT)
William and Mary (VA)
U Virginia
U of Washington

The above are not all "medium size", some are small, some are large. NYU and Boston U are close to the ocean but the weather is cold during the academic year. NYU is near the United Nations, perhaps offering unique opportunities.

In addition to the schools mentioned, you may want to check out the University of San Diego (USD) and UC San Diego. Both have good IR programs and are near the beach.

check out the suny's and the cuny's... theyre amazing.

Tufts is pretty diverse in my opinion.

U. Maryland
Georgetown (maybe a reach)
University of Texas
Ohio University (Get good money here possibly)
University of Delaware
Northwestern
NYU

Thank You So Much Everyone!!!
