So, I'm applying to 11 schools, but UChicago is definitely my dream school. I've never wanted to go to a school so badly in my life, and I cannot see myself anywhere else (besides Carnegie Mellon, but I'm not applying there). I've submitted my application already, but I thought I'd post this just to see if my chances are good or if I should prepare myself for rejection.

I have an unweighted of 3.81, a weighted of 4.29 (which will be up by the end of year. I'm in 6 college classes right now.) I'm top 10% of my class, and my ACT score is a 32 with a 10 writing.
As for extracurriculars and special other things, I'm vice-president of National Art Honours Society, secretary of a violence prevention club, a state finalist in speech multiple times and ranked in the top 100 since my freshman year, the editor of my school's creative annual magazine, a HOBY alum, and the "motivational speaker" for a spanish scrabble team. I've always beein working since I was fifteen years old, and I'm currently a dental assistant. I'm also really active in service and beta club, and I regularly volunteer with refugees and teach them English and help kids with homework. I tutor people at school. I have a TON of service hours, but I can't pin a number on them right now.... I know that I've 78 from my junior year alone. I also do theatre.
I guess my hook would be that I've won the NCTE Excellence in Writing Award? I don't know if it's a big deal or not. I'm also an AP scholar and play piano. I don't really know what constitutes a hook. Maybe I should disregard it...
I think my essay was all right. I chose the pH level prompt. Honestly... the essay's what I'm most worried about.

Anyway, I think those are my stats. Let me know!!
