I go to F&M, but I have met people who go to Gettysburg and it is a good school. In terms of prestige, I think F&M is slightly better regarded. THe US News Report’s last ranking had F&M ranked 6 slots before Gettysburg (43rd, 49th respectively). Forbes has a newer and less regarded ranking system for all universities and colleges. F&M ranked 36th, Gettysburg 250th.

In terms of getting into law school, I think usually about 7 or 8 percent of the F&M class goes on to law school. I am going to be applying to law school next year as a senior, and I feel like I have a good chance at a lot of law school. Of course, you have to do well in your classes and have a decent LSAT score. I think F&M has gotten kids admitted into all of the US News top 25 law schools over the past 5 years. I don’t know about Gettysburg, but I am pretty sure have a lot of success too.

But I think you also have to consider the academic programs you are interested in. I know Gettysburg is well regarded for Civil War history. I don’t know much else, because I did not apply there. F&M has top chemistry, government, and geosciences/enviro. programs. It also has a well regarded psychology department with interdisciplinary studies and a primate lab.

yeah, they are both great schools. i think u may be one of the most helpful people to ever reply to one of my posts. thanks!! and yeah i think teh primate lab is pretty cool. haha
