I am currently a freshman biology major at a smaller college. I went here because i was a cross country runner and wanted to continue to do so in college, however i now no longer am running and want to transfer to a bigger and better school for biology, also taking part in the premed program because i want to go to medical school. So my question is out of these places what would be the best for premed with a major in a biology field, i am currently considering schools in pennsylvania (where I live), Temple, Pitt, Penn State, and also Iowa (my dad lives in Iowa, however I have the least interest in going there so I'd prefer whichever is the best out of the other places). Also are there any other large schools similar to the ones I listed that are in PA that anyone would recommend?

You really can’t go wrong with any of the big three in PA. It’s just a matter of what you like in a school. Obviously, State College is very, very different than Pittsburgh and Philly. Football is very dominant at Penn State, so if you’re not a huge football fan, it’s probably not the best choice. If you like basketball more, Pitt and Temple are much better choices, and the sports scene isn’t dominant like it is at PSU. Penn State has very little around it other than the school itself. At Pitt and Temple, you have a wide variety of options: restaurants, museums, professional sports, concerts, etc.
You’ll be able to get into a good med school from any of the big three. The best thing for you is it visit and get a feel from all of them, because they’re all pretty different.
