part time job at ivyreview- tutoring students
various state awards for my EC's (decent, solid ECs) nothing too interesting...
Columbia- summer bio research program
great recs

GPA, Sat I and II scores are great.

Courses are great, also.

You should try and be more specific about what awards you got in your EC's. These days, research programs aren't something amazing, but they do show passion. The Columbia program will help, but not a whole lot, especially because you are asian. If you can find one VERY solid EC that you wan't to pursue in college and write an amazing essay about it, then you will have a pretty decent shot. But, for you, as is true for most others, the only way to get in is through that essay. That is really what is going to separate you from the rest, frankly because the rest have just as good stats as you do. If I were you, I would put a ton of time on that essay. That is the key for you! GL

Why are you retaking a 2290? That's what I got, and I don't think I'll retake. I also plan on applying to Stanford. I'm worried now- is my 2290 (710 M, 770 W, 800 CR) good enough?

It is definitely good enough. I wouldn't waste my time retaking.

What was your breakdown for 2290?

Honestly, aren't there more important things than improving a 2290? Maybe like working on the essays or ECs. Just my opinion. Good luck. :)

800 math 790 writign 700 cr

hmmm...I wouldn't retake then. I have a feeling that the university's will view your Math+Writing score, so that they can compare with the old SAT I, in which case, you have an excellent, 1590.

They will view the CR like the SAT II: Writing, which is not as important.

Wait, I think you have that backwards. I think they will look at M+CR, not M+W. CR is like verbal, I thought.

You have a reasonable chance. You're the type that Stanford likes to admit, but there's also like thousands of applicants with similar stats.
