Help me finalize my college list!

I know this is ridiculously late for a senior but I've still got to make some modificaitons of my college list. I am applying to a ridiculous number of reaches...but that's a different story. So here is my final list (ones with * are definite already) :

Amherst*
Swarthmore -
Middlebury
Umichigan*
Columbia*
USC (Southern Calif)*
Northwestern
Upitt
Boston U
Harvard U - parents are dead keen and I LOVED it but am reluctant to apply because I think I have an ice cube's chance in hell of getting in
Wellesley College

I have to narrow this list down to eight or nine. I basically want to choose one between BU and UPitt. Both will (hopefully) be safeties for me.

BU: I visited but didn't get much of a feel for the school, seems fine and I love Boston
UPitt: haven't visited but have heard good things about it (might try for Honors College) and it's SO much cheaper but I heard the dorms are terrible

And one or two out of Wellesley, Middlebury or Swarthmore.

Wellesley: loved the school, not sure about all-women's environment. I'm worried that one of the reasons (not the only) I fell in love with it is that I became really fond of family friends who live near there and that's not a good enough reason

Swarthmore: loved the school, but my biggest problem is that I don't trust my gut feeling!

Middlebury: new addition, didn't visit but still like the school and philosophy, not sure about rural location but it might be easier for me to get in 'and it's a great school so considering applying

So the big question is...how to narrow it down. Is my list wayy too top-heavy? Is there any point in applying to Harvard (I'm a good student but not cured cancer or anything like that 2250+ SATs, 42 IB, good recs, good but not amazing ECs)

Btw the deadline is Monday to submit a final list so I’m kind of hitting the panic button now!

Well judging by your description, you don’t seem very fond of Wellesly, so I would remove that school from your list…
