So... My Sats are 1100 (low, I Know. Im taking them again and the ACT's this Sept/OCt), unweighted GPA is 3.58, I've taken 3 Aps so far all passed (Govt & modern world, = 4's, English lang 3) and I am taking 4 more Ap's next year.

I would like a school in a large city, northeast, westcoast, not the south!!! Cananda could be a possibility.

Lewis & Clark is in Portland... which is somewhat a large city. Let's see... Seattle University is a Jesuit College (you don't have to be Catholic or religious to attend) and might be a possibility, its right in the middle of Seattle. Not a large city, but there is a college called Linfield college in Southern Oregon that's fairly nice, could be looked into. Once again, not a big city, but Willamette is right in Salem Oregon. And then I'd recommend University of the Puget Sound (UPS).

Yeah... perhaps you can give some more details as to what you want in a school?

I've heard alot about Lewis & Clark and portland sound like a great city. I am worried that l&c might just be to small a school, especially since i dont know exactly what i want to major in.

If anyone knows about school in San Fran, other than u of Sf and SF state i would really like to hear your feedback.

um... other things....
History is my strongest subject. (if that gives you any ideas)

I just kinda freaked out this weekend. I am going to be a senior this year, and i am just now realizing that i have to make a decision on colleges... AHHHH, freaky

If anyone has any other ideas for me, that would be amazing.

You shouldn't rule out the south like that. It has tons of charming, academically sound schools filled with all types of students just like you'd find in the Northeast, like Furman, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, UNC - Chapel Hill, UVA, Sewanee, and Elon, just to name a few!

In the Northeast, you may want to consider Northeastern and American. As for the Northwest, possibly Willamette, University of Puget Sound, and University of Portland.

These sound like the kind of schools you're looking for, that are obtainable with your stats, all excellent and respectable schools:

Northeastern University (Boston)
Case Western (Cleveland)
DePaul University (Chicago)
Santa Clara University (Bay Area)
St. John's University (NYC)

I think that you could get into a school that is better than SF state =/ You have a great GPA and good SAT scores, I don't see why you shouldn't reach for better schools

Santa Clara University is the only one aside from U of SF that I can recommend...the Bay Area is running really short on the private school market except for some scattered little known LACs. There is University of Pacific but that's a two hour drive away.

You could always go with St. Mary's out in Moraga, other side of the Caldicot (sp?) Tunnel, don't know if that's the closeness to SanFran you wanted b/c once you're on that side of the tunnel, you need a car and good hour to get into the city, BART doesn't go out to that rich suburbia, beautiful place though.

My life dream would be to buy out Point Richmond, or the land streching from Emeryville up to Richmond and build a fair sized university (5,000-10,000) similar to MIT in layout, right alongside the Bay :) San Fran needs something like that...

I discourage Temple unless you visit and know exactly what you're walking into, Temple is not in a good college town it is in the middle of the ghetto, four survelance cameras on every corner, barred windows on the bookstore, the school is not a bad school, just don't wander off into the neighborhoods.
