Hi. I'm a rising senior applying to colleges to start in fall 2012. I already have a list of places I want to apply, but I was wondering if the CC community could give me some ideas from a strangers perspective. I'm looking for a college with good nightlife, situated in a college town (my favorite places to be are Oxford and Cambridge in the uk, so if there is anywhere situated in an area like those that would be perfect. I'm also a fan of Evanston, illinois). Not picky when it comes to size, but it would be nice to have classes larger than those at my high school (around 20 students). I plan to major in chemistry. I'm currently in Ohio but would be open to going just about anywhere. Cost is not a problem.
In terms of qualifications, I have a relatively low gpa and class rank (3.5 weighted, 3.3 uw, top 30%) but am taking the most rigorous courseload available. Sat: 780 CR, 680 math, 750 writing. ACT: 33 reading and science, 32 english and math, 8 essay. I plan to take sat iis in the fall. I will complete high school having taken between 8 and 11 ap tests (haven't quite figured out self-studies for next year yet). All 4s and 5s so far. ECs are academic challenge, orchestra, chamber orchestra, honors quintet, and jazz ensemble. I am also active in my church youth group and have leadership positions in diocesan youth events.
I'd be grateful for any ideas you could give me. Sorry for the length, I was trying to be thorough.

Shameless bump…

All of the Big Ten schools.
Arizona State University
Tulane
Colorado

I feel like a majority of the big ten schools would be something of a reach though? Thanks so much for the ideas though!

I know for a fact you would be admitted at Iowa. Probably Michigan State, Ind, Purdue also. Minnesota might be possible.

Okay, thanks :)

Anyone else have any ideas?
