Help me out for Princey!

Sup guys!! Can ya rate me for Princeton admission??

I'm a white boy from Maryland

ACT: 34

SATII:
Biology: 760
World History: 710
Math IIC: 750
Should I even report these scores because I took the ACT? It's a debate for me because the 710 isnt that good, but would it look worse if I didnt report any SAT IIs at all?

APs:
US Government (5); Biology (5); Human Geography (5); Psychology (5); Chemistry (5); Environmental Science (5); Calc AB (5); English Lang (5); World History (5)

9 Fives = National AP Scholar!

GPA:
4.0 unweighted
4.86 weighted
Class Rank: 1 in a class of over 330

Misc.
I got the Maryland Princeton Book Award and the Maryland Distinguished Scholar Award, am a member of 3 Honors Societies, got 4 student of the month Awards, went to Harvard Model Congress for the past two years, took a Chinese course at a local college for 8 college credits, and went to the National Student Leadership Conference in Medicine and Healthcare at UC Berkeley.

Extracurricularzz:
* Founder and President of the Junior Statesmen of America; awarded National Chapter of the Month
* President of Student Advisory Committee
* Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America
* State Officer of Maryland FBLA
* Vice President of Best Buddies
* Vice President of Maryland Technology Honors Society
* President of Cure Club
* Officer on County-Wide Student Council
* Member of NHS
* Supporting role in school play
* I did a lot of community service things, such as volunteering at the Red Cross, the Special Olympics, the Maryland Food Bank, my county's general hospital, and other various things
* I did 2 research internships (1 on stem cells, 1 on transplantology)

My essay will be about me being gay, so it should be kind of meaningful

I'm getting a lot of really good recs:
1 from guidance counselor, of course, who really likes me
1 from another guidance counselor to whom I somehow grew closer than I did to my own gudiance counselor
1 from my biology teacher who LOVES me
1 from my mom, who was my teacher but who has a different last name than me so it won't be obvious that she's my mom
1 from my Calculus and Differential Equations teacher who is a genius from MIT (he was a part of the group that the movie 21 was based on)
1 from a Princeton alumnus who gave me the Princeton book award

^ I will probably end up only sending some of these, but these are my options as of now

Can I get in??

If you're applying to Princeton, they pretty much know you are smart and well-rounded. All those EC's and scores are important for consideration, but that's only half of it. The main thing that Princeton cares about is your character/personal experiences.

how the hell do people only get 750 on the MATH SATIIC??

It's a standardized test, which means someone has to get a 750. You, who has apparently gotten better, should above the rest of us know that.

how is a comment like that helpful at all?

anyway, good chance at princeton!

Even if you took the ACT you have to report your SAT II scores (you need three).

Whoa, do NOT send that many recs. You only need 3, they only want 3, and if you're going to send more, do NOT send more than 4. Get one from your guidance counselor, 2 from teachers, and if you really, really must, an additional rec from someone who knows you in a different way/setting/field.

Also, it will be obvious that it's your mom because you have to put down all your family information on the application.

Hey, I got a 710 on my math SAT IIC test, and now I'm at Princeton. Got a 710 on my regular SATs too. The biggest problem I had was running out of time before I finished answering all of the questions.

OPs scores look strong.

I would say scratch the Princeton alumni rec, the mom rec, and the 'genius' rec. Remember that admissions doesn't care how smart the person writing the recommendation is. If they can't write, then it will be a bad recommendation, regardless of how wonderful they attempt to say you are.

Don't worry about your test scores. They're good enough to get you in the door. Your extracurricular activities, recommendations, and essay are what will make the difference.

Don't use the mom recommendation because if they find out and they probably will because you need to fill out parental info on the application, it won't look good. They also probably won't care that much about the alumni rec. I'd stick with your teacher and guidance counselor recs.

The only thing you can really do now is keep getting good grades, make sure your essay is awesome, and don't screw up the interview. The rest is up to them.

IN x 43940384f098

"I'm a white boy from Maryland"

And there's your biggest problem. You've got great scores, but you're up against quite a number of fellow NE kids. Also, what's with the 20384308 recs? I'd stick with your GC, biology teacher, math teacher, and MAYBE the Pton alum, depending on how well he knows you PERSONALLY and not just your accomplishments. And definitely no mom!

I would agree with everyone else that you should definatley NOT send in so many recommendations.
Apart from that, your application is wonderful!! You have a spectacular chance.
Man I envy you! I wish that by the time I apply to uni (next fall) I would have accomplished have as much as you've accomplished.
Are you taking any more APs this year as a senior? The admissions committee would probably like to see that your keeping up with such a rigoros courseload. Or wait- are some of those grades predicted grades?

I'm so sick of telling everyone "Good luck"when I see a chance thread, simply because there are so many chance threads but anywayz: Bonne Chance!! (I mean it!)
