Under E-bills, there's a "Cars bill" statement with $15,152.75
When I click "Pay Now", there's 2 options,
pay in full $15,152.75
deferred plan $3,874.95
My understanding is this please correct me if I am wrong, the total amount I owe Cal is $25,647.25 that is registration, dorm, and food.
What is the payment due on Aug. 15th? Are registration and dorm paid separately?

that's basically what my bill looks like. are you going with the deferred payment plan? If not, the payment due on the 15th is $15,152.75. That is all you owe them for registration and for the 1st month of dorm/food.

silly me, I clicked on the Cars bill statement and it shows all the transaction details. I am going to pay in full.
Do we need to pay another registration fee during Spring? how much will that cost?

AcidAlice: I am not OOS, I didn't qualify for financial aid in a bad way

My E-Bill Quick Summary and CARS bill statement are different, too...the CARS thing is fine, but the summary says that I have to pay $35,000+ for the whole year, and I'm in-state.

Zee17, I'm having a similar problem... I looked on my CARS account a couple of days ago, and they charged me 18k, which I'm assuming is out-of-state tuition, even though I'm in-state. Check your BearFacts personal file, and see what it says under California Residency Status. Mine says NO SLR, even though I turned one in... Does anyone know if I can get this fixed still? I plan on calling the SLR office tomorrow.

Is the checkbox in myBerkeleyapp supposed to go away after paying? I've paid the fees that I have on Bearfacts and it's been noted that it's been accepted. But there is still a reminder that I have to pay my first bill.

killernago: Yeah, that's the same thing that happened to me...it says "No SLR" in my profile, but when I go to the page where you file the SLR, it says that I've already done it. It should've been processed by now, considering I did it right after I got in to Cal. But I don't think it's that big of a problem because they seem to be charging me the right amount on CARS. It looks like they just made an error on the BearFacts page...which doesn't matter because we don't pay on BearFacts.

On my CARS bill statement it says,
MINIMUM PAYMENT DUE 13,987.25
ACCOUNT BALANCE 24,724.25

but on my bearfacts CARS quick statement it says,
Minimum Amount Due Now: $8,636.25
Minimum Due + Full Reg Fee: $8,636.25
Account Balance: $19,373.25

so which one is the updated one? and which minimum payment am i supposed to pay by aug 15?

I'm guessing that the CARS bill statement is the one that's right because the BearFacts quick statement has been wrong for a couple of people. And I'm not sure about your other question, but $13,000+ seems like a lot for your first monthly payment. I think mine is around 5,000, and I'm barely getting any financial aid (in-state, though).

Thankfully my cars bill statement and the quick statement were the same.

Maybe you should call billing and ask what you should do about it... but I think their phones are overwhelmed right now or something cause I just get a busy signal when I call. Or maybe it's just me.

i think quick statement is updated with any scholarships/grants/financial aid you might have received since the CARS bill came out which is only updated once every month
