Help me pick Running Start classes?

Next year as a junior in high school I’m going to be doing running start. I’m planning to go to Bellevue Community college. I really don’t know much about about the running start classes so could you help me choose which classes I need to take? I’m trying to take as many as I can at the college. I’m pretty sure I get to pick my classes. My counselor wasn’t too clear on it. Or could you at least tell me an idea of what to take.

Next year at my high school I signed up for

Language Arts 5-6 (3rd year)
Algebra 3/4
AP Us History
Japanese 5-6 (3rd year)
Chemistry
AP Physics

Here’s the list of classes at the college

All I remember is the counselor saying an option is to take English 101 at Bellevue instead of Language Arts 5-6 at high school. Is this something you could help me with?

Also I’m very interested in the Criminal Justice classes. Is that something I could take now? Or what can I do to prepare for it in college? I think that’s what I want to do.

Get your AA. You can also go to the college and pick up the AA program that you want to get. It will tell you all the classes you need to take. Once you graduate with your AA, colleges will really like you.

^^ This. Also, look at the equivalency guide here:
http://admit.washington.edu/EquivalencyGuide/Bellevue

You can look up the class you want to take and see the UW equivalent class. It’s good to use just in case, although most classes seem to transfer. But for example, you have to take 4 quarters of calculus at BC to take the equivalent 3 quarters of calculus at UW. So, if you only take 3 quarters at BC, you’ll have to take the 3rd quarter (Math 126) at UW, which will have a harder curve and lots of overlapping material.

PM me if you have any specific questions about classes or professors. I also did Running Start at BC and loved it

EDIT: Taking English 101 at BC is an option but it really depends on if you’d like the class at your high school better. I honestly hated BC’s English 101 because attendance was required and it was an absolute waste of time. My professor especially wanted us to go over very basic grammar, which might be useful for a lot of people but it wasn’t for me. However, it varies between professors so I recommend using ratemyprofessor.com before signing up for each class. It wouldn’t be too hard to get a good grade in English 101 if that’s what you ultimately decide to take.

Did you get to pick your professors when you did Running Start at BC? If so, did you pick your professors with your highschool counselor?
