OK i will!!
I was talking to my teacher today and I’m now interested in Notre Dame and Cornell too hahah do I need to reign myself in a lot, a waste of the application fee? or is it worth it to try?

be bump de bump

Emmy

For most of your schools, your ACT is a bit low though everything else looks ok. However, overall, you’re certainly in the range where I wouldn’t be shocked to see you get into any of them (well, perhaps Harvard) and I wouldn’t be shocked to see you get rejected from any one of them (well, perhaps Wake Forest).

The problem is that these schools are so competitive, that it’s really impossible to predict for any one of them. You probably need a few more matches and safeties.

Safety – someone mentioned flagship state school – U Mass-Amherst probably meets the bill, You should get in easily and it’s a pretty good school.

Match Schools – Brandeis, perhaps. Most of the schools ranked 30-50 in the USN&WR List, probably.

Be careful taking college application advice from teachers. They are notorious for overstating students chances for admission & have no idea how difficult it is to get into top schools. If you could get another 2 pts. on your ACT score it would definitely help your chances at the schools you’ve mentioned. As stated by others, Wake Forest looks like the only college on your list where you could say your chances for admission are around 75%.

Ok so here’s a slightly revised list.

Johns Hopkins
Boston College
Georgetown
Duke
Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
Cornell
Dartmouth
Tufts
William and Mary
University of Virginia
NC-Chapel Hill
Brandeis
Notre Dame
American U.
i guess i really need help with matches and safeties, huh?
please and thank you!
