Ok. so if you were a poli sci major, who doubles in english and you reALLY dislike froo froo literature and creative froo froo stuff like poetry and would rather do non fiction, and who may want to pick up a language (dont know maybe Korean or Arabic) but who really wants to work in Politics...... would you choose Wellesley or Georgetown or Hopkins.
Can you tell me why? oh yeah forget about school costs for this one.

Here are the pros and cons I came up with for each school.
Wellesley:
Pros: Top notch education, Small classes, intimate environment, Good English Program, Good Poli Sci program,
Cons: Ridiculously expensive to find a place IN wellesley the town and I cannot live on campus...commuting makes the whole experience suck a bit, The english program is a bit froo froo focused and their creative writing program is fiction based (with only 1 non fic course), it is near boston which is far from washington...and yes there is an internship program but my living situation doesnt lend for me leaving for 10 weeks for an internship.

Gtown: great education (can anyone tell me how u may see the education quality at gtown vs wellesley??? this would answer a lot), sort of small classes to small classes, focus on realistic non fiction applications of English, top government program, and I know the area like the back of my hand and I know my other half can get a job there and I know where to live in order for it not to be a helluva commute for either of us and there are many many many places to live, internships galore and all year round my interviewer did internships for presidential campaigns and on the hill since he was a sophomore!
Cons: Not the best english program, not that intimate of the environment, and I am not 100% certain on the education quality vs wellesley.

Hopkins: great education, writing seminars program is EXACTLY what I am looking for in a writing program and I dont have to focus on ENGLISH. As far as poli sci/govt, I am sure it is ok. SUPER cheap living. sort of close to d.c. for internships.
Cons: In the GHETTOOOOO, my dad used to go there and he always remembers the story of a homeless guy by his dorm room who used to ask him for money and food every day. I am very familiar w/bmore, and outside of the inner harbor it is sketchy... i mean USC sketchy then a bigger neighborhood of sketchy. The proximity to washington is a little daunting, I wouldnt drive it but my friend used to metro it for an internship in d.c.

Thats all I can think of. You are welcome to correct my thoughts and give me some of your own ideas!
