okay… i think im just going to go for it… i hope it doesnt look like im doing debate just for college though… cuz im not… but i am trying to do everyhting to get into princeton… any reccomendations from personal experience about selling yourself??

bump…

oki wut schools do you guys reccommend i look into given my stats if i continue this way…?

Look into a couple of matches that are really attractive. But I’m not clear what major, so I can’t recommend any off the top of my head. Any preferences on location? Etc.

Your EC’s are very impressive! Don’t stress out too much about grades. I think if you show consistent improvement over the years, that will be a plus for your college applications. I became extremely upset when I got a B in one semester (which ruined my 4.0 UGPA) but I realized that one imperfection will not ruin the world. Just do your best at school! I also want to go to Princeton as well (it is my first choice school and I wanted to go there so badly when I visited the campus as a sophomore) but I understand that the Princeton application process is a lottery (you’ll need a bit of luck as well.) There are so many qualified applicants that apply to this prestigious school yet they will not expand the class size to accomodate for all of them so you should also consider other colleges as well. If you show a deep love for a certain sport/activity/club/talent, be sure to really convey that passion in your application (My greatest passion is dance
and yours is water polo?) This will bring out your inner voice/personality that the admission officers want to see. Also, do well on your SATs but don’t focus too much on getting a perfect score because this may take away too much time from your passions/activities that may showcase your voice even more. And this might be an extra booster: Try to decide on a major before you enter college. :)

haaha thankyou thankyou well my mom is set on me being a medical major -.-…but idk wut i want to be… but i think im going to take that path as a high schooler and might switch in college if thats possible…?

Do you go to LJCDS?

sorry… i would prefer my identity goes unknown… anyways… if i have math and science ec’s and classes can i switch later on in college and for example pursue law?

guysss i also have another question… i already have 3B’s and im going to get 1 more this semester but the rest are going to be strong A’s, does that autimatically disqualify me from the good schools? ahhh

No it doesn’t you are fine. Little blips don’t “disqualify” you, you just need something to put yourself over other applicants like an outstanding essay and recs.
I understand about the identity thing haha was just wonderin

definitely make sure your SAT breaks a 1450 or ACT a 34

my uncle is the head of the engineering department at Princeton and on the board of admissions, so yah you look good from what he tells me they are looking for.
just make sure you have an AMAZING ESSAY- thats the one thing he said that can make or break you getting in. also challenge yourself academically but its better to get an B+ in an AP class than a A+ in an honors because it shows you challenged yourself.
starting a debate team at your school would look amazing too, i suggest you do that. and as for your schedule next year, your classes look good- depending on what you want to major in then choose if you want the math or not.
hope that help. good luck:)

thankk you so much! i was just wondering how much sophomore year grades count because ive been really overbooked but your words are very encouraging… THANKYOU!!!

also do ap scores count alot in admissions?

Not unless you have bad scores. If you do terribly on tests but well in class, you either cheat in class or aren’t a good standardized test taker. They also help determine if you really have ability in whatever you wish to major in or have a future in. They’re not a huge deal.

okay thanks…and are self studying ap’s a big plus to college admissions?

ohh and is it a necessity to get a sophomore internship?
