What college do you see me going to? Can I get into Princeton?

Please be honest...

GPA: 3.8 to 3.98
SAT: Slightly above average - not sure yet
Community/Student Service Learning Hours: 80 - 85
Teachers: Most of them like me... some love me & others hate me, but overall we're cool :)
Languages: English as native but almost fluent in Italian as a 2nd language
Clubs: Italian Club(Since 9th grade) , FBLA (since 11th & not amazing if you get the idea) ,
Italian Honor Society (since 10th)
Sports: Cross Country (since 10th & not an all star if you know what I mean...)
Jobs: Chick Fil A (since 10th) , Volunteer(NOT PAID) Firefighter Cadet (since 11th)
Money: Lower Middle Class - Yearly Family Income : less than $65000 , family of 5
Sports(Not School related): Duckpin Bowling(since middle school & slightly above avergae)
Trouble: A couple detentions in middle school & a one day suspension
... am I missing anything? I'm only in 9th grade so this is an estimate for the next few years... what do you recommend I improve on? I go to an top prep. high school for business & information technology(computer science)
oh and I forgot! AP classes!

APs & test results:

World History: 5
US History: 4
English Lit.: 4
English Lang: 3
Economy: 3
Computer Science A: 3
Italian: No longer has an AP exam...
Environmental Science: 4
Statistics: 4

Anything i forgot or should work on?
i'm striving for the best... will they look at elementary or middle school?

for AP Economy it's either macro or micro NOT BOTH... i'm not sure which to take yet... any ideas?

Oh and also starting in 11th grade shall be peer tutoring!

It’s hard to chance you without your SAT scores, and I’m assuming that you’re guessing on all of the AP scores, and all of the ECs throughout your high school career. Colleges only look at what you have accomplished in high school. It’s good that you’re looking forward, however it’s pointless to be asking for a chance this early on.

imagine the SATs being a bit above average and everything being true as if I was a highs chool senior asking you… what sort of college do you think I could get into? Worst case and best case scenario?

I agree with totalderiv. I think you should wait a bit more and give yourself time to develop and realize your application. Don’t forget to do all your testing! [SAT I’s and II’s!]

Maybe come back in two years? Good luck :)

Princeton-Reach

Good Luck

If all of that was true (hypothetically), I would say Princeton would be a reach because your graduation year will probably have more applicants and Princeton will have a lower acceptance rate (hard to imagine).

michiganfall , i love you ur my new best friend lol jk… any suggestions on getting a higher chance at Princeton?

what would you say is my biggest weakeness? where should i focus on improving the most?

Jesus Christ, I can’t even fathom caring about college as a freshman in high school. My advice for admittance to a school like Princeton is to be the best in the world at something, change the world before high school, be recruited for athletics, or publish a book.

My two cents. (With those projected stats, Princeton admittance is very, very unlikely.)

Best of luck

actually I was sorta recruited for athletics that’s why I’m doing cross country next year… the coach talked to me personally about it and he wants me on the team…

The Princeton coach has talked to you as a freshman? Damn. What are your times?

not Princeton smart ass lmao… i mean during high school lol our school coach lol… if the Princeton coach would’ve talked to me I would’ve **** my pants rotfl… but that’s a good idea… i like running and i’m okay at it… i’ll become a cross country all star!

I’m not being a smart ass. I thought it was obvious when I said “recruited for athletics,” I meant by the college (especially in the context of that sentence). But yeah, get your 5k time down to around 16 flat and you’re talking business.

well i wonder how fast i can run that if I can walk that at about 50 mins… pobly like 35 min lol… in a couple years I could pobly get 5k down to 16 mins… I’m just a freshmen now…

Maybe, but what about your ECs?

[Chance me back?](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/866056-chance-columbia.html)

I got Italian Club & Italian Honor Society , FBLA, & Cross Country… oh and peer tutoring

Okay…that’s pretty good. Do you have any passions though? Did you write about them in your essays? If you did, you’ll stand out.

lol he’s a freshman brah

I LOVE anything foreign culture related and my teacher totally sees that… for cross country i’m gaining a strong passion for that and business I have a keen interest in but Italian is more tha n anything oh and I love being a volunteer fire fighter cadet…

I don’t think you can ever tell … financially it would be difficult. Save yourself the stress of working so much. It’s just the prestige… Johns Hopkins would give you more aid and the education is really good…
