Help me selct between CMU and UC Berkeley

I have been accepted to UCLA, CMU and UC Berkeley...
Am in two minds...
Please help me with some advice.
Major is Biological Sciences
I am a CA resident, so will enjoy instate fees at Berkeley, CMU is much more expensive.

Also has anyone heard of someone who had success in discussion with CMU to help with some grants in such situation, specially when the student has other options such as berkely or UCLA

Thanks for any and all help.

is money that big of an issue for your family?

Not exactly, but when the delta is almost ~100K+ over a 4 year period, then yes, it does add up...
One option my friends and family are suggesting is o go to Berkeley and save the CMU money for a graduate degree at an Ivey.. but I am not ready to give up on CMU, not as yet...

Anyone here who was able to negotiate a grant or an aid?
Any tips?

Unless you really really like CMU more, go to Berkeley. CMU isn't really too special for biological sciences, and you'll be paying much less money if you go to Berkeley. I'm sure you'd like the weather there better than in Pittsburgh too :P

If by a graduate degree, you mean a PhD, chances are that the school would be paying you to get the degree, not the other way around. But you're Bio, so if you mean MD... completely different. :)

I don't think the CMU education would be work an extra $100k if you're in a field such as bio which we aren't really that well known for. You might have had better luck applying to the Pitt honors program down the street since they've got such huge medical centers. :(
