Reluctant between CMU and UCLA...

I am admitted both to Biological Science at CMU and Biochemistry at UCLA and find it REALLY hard to choose between them.

I know CMU has a better academic reputation and environment, but I also find out that Biochemistry Department at UCLA has a much better reputation than Biological Science Department at CMU. I'm really interested in Biology or Biochemistry. Any suggestion for me?

For an undergraduate degree, I believe overall reputation matters more than department or major-specific rankings.

UCLA"s biochem dept is top notch and is probably the best major at the school at placing students into med school, if that is your objective. I hope you’ve visited both.
