I just have a question about two SAT 2 subject tests. Literature and Bio M. I am going to take AP Language and Composition this year. The teacher who I have is notorious for being a hard teacher, but she really preps the kids up for the AP Test. I have not taken AP Biology yet. After completing the course of AP Lang and Comp should I take the Lit subject test? Or should I study independtly for the Bio Subject test? Which one is easier?

Take both!

Wait, are you asking whether the bio subject test or the lit subject test is easier? That really varies by person. It sounds like you’re good as far as the lit subject test (As well as the AP test) so I would just take the lit subject test after a year of AP lang and comp. For the bio, it’s not hard enough that you need to take the AP class/test to be prepared for the subject test, but it is a pretty hard test for some people. I would study with independent prep books (I love those things. Barron’s is my soul mate) and I think it’s best if you’ve taken some sort of bio or bio honors class. A lot of people at my school take the bio subject test after taking 10th grade bio honors (that’s not like AP bio, that’s like basic 10th grade bio with a meaner teacher) and they do decently, but they don’t study hard on their own. Take the lit test definitely, and take bio if you want, depending on how prepared you feel individually. It’s probably a good idea if you’re going into science.
