Help me to Decide which University to finalize

Add 10% to all my grades, 2% to the 10th boards and you get my real stats. FYI.

Anyway, I got no authority here, I come here when I don’t feel like studying/feel like procrastinating. I’m still a kid. Please take a note of that. Thanks. I’m sorry if I offended you by saying that Yale engg sucks, alright? :)

no hard feeling, peace \m/

@Cubin1 What stats should aniruddh have had for you to not have to question his authority?

Yale Engg would anyday be a better option than a Umich, Purdue or Gtech Engg. It might not be that well known for its engg program but the prestige of attending an institution like yale is what really matters. and like Dibbsatya said undergrad engg at any college will not really be that big of a deal and its your postgrad that really matters!!

^There are different ways of looking at this, really. Not sure why the prestige factor matters this much to you. Fact is that Yale * is * home to top-class engineering and applied science research; it just cannot compete with tech schools in terms of scale.

@dibbasatya, good post

@cubin1: now stop judging others like that and please keep your opinions to yourself.

NOOOO. Nuh uh.

lets just end d stupid confrontation…
hey i’m cubin1, hows everything at your end? :p

@ Cubin I wan’t really confronting you (u haven’t offended me). Just want to see what stats u find respectable!

@ debarghya and Blue Box- I dunno it just seems better to have attended Yale in comparison to Gtech or Purdue.

In general, yes, but not when the school you’re comparing it to specializes in engineering.

Violator, it depends so much on what you want from your college experience. Getting into Yale, obviously sounds much more impressive. Please don’t rely on how things “sound”. See for yourself the pros and cons of each college you’re admitted to and decide for yourself where you better fit in. You won’t even get all the engineering specialties at non-engineering schools.

I love each and every one of you.

Exactly.

Cubin, I don’t really care. I may not be an esconie but I guess I’m alright as far as my goals are concerned. Not the best of the best, but not that bad either.

And seriously, how do people become “authorities” on college admissions based on their high school performance?

@debarghya- I know that it shouldn’t be all about how it sounds but the thing is in my city i have seen several people with not that impressive statistics attend colleges like Purdue and Gtech and with people all over constantlly repeating how OK these colleges are i seem to have Prejudices against the. Hell before i started frequenting CC i was under the impression that Umich is just another average college.

huh, u people just don’t wanna end it… :/

^ Don’t look at this thread na. Let them have their own conversation.

HEy Guys please dont tlk about other universities i jst asked which was best…and dont fight on topics…which u are doin on the post…instead help me to do tht

I got a reject from NYU POLY

Then I would recommend CSU.
