HELP ME! - Transfer Student - Fordham - Whats your advice?

I am currently a Senior in High School and will be going to Nassau Community College for the next 2 years. I never really took school seriously until it hit me in 12th grade. My GPA in High School was a 78 in Regents classes but then senior year I made High Honor Roll with a 94 GPA and a 90+ average for all the quarters. So of coarse I didn’t get in to any schools i applied too since I woke up to late.

However…

What are the chances of me getting accepted to Fordham University in Bronx? My sister went there and I loved being there.

If I take school seriously and study hard like i am in senior year will I get into Fordham? I wont have to show them my SAT/ACT since I will be have one year of being a full time student.

So - what are the chances? if i work hard and receive high grades do you think i have a shot? What do colleges look at for transfer students? Will they see my High School grades? Thanks.

You might have a good chance if you get your GPA up and show you are working hard. Community college is the place for students to get a second chance and show they are now serious about their education. For transfers, colleges mostly look at your grades, transcript, extracurriculars/any type of community involvement, letters of recommendation, and personal statement. They evaluate it all; I don’t know what weight they place on each.
