Once there was an election. I was elected president. Then the advisor for the club said there must be a re-election. I was furious. I wrote an e-mail to the members saying that we should show the advisor that the decision was preposterous. Re-elections happened anyways. I thought that was extremely disrespectful to me and also embarrassing. I won again anyways.
Some teachers accused me of not helping other students. They are lying I know this as a FACT. I was never asked to help anybody. One person in the school has a grudge against me, so I am guessing she told her teachers bad things about me.
I try to apply for NHS. They reject me and I find out it is because of the above reasons. I tell them I have no idea about the refusal to help students but I did own up to the e-mail. They reject me anyways. I appeal. I tell them all of the good clubs I am in. Eg: all of the volunteer work I do, which is a lot. They reject me again. Now I have to go to the principle.
I go to him and ask him what the problems are. He tells me the same thing. I ask him about why teachers would accuse me. He says he does not know. But he begins to attack me on why I wrote an e-mail. I said it was because I was frustrated about the re-election decision. He says that it was unacceptable. The NHS advisor also told him that I denied that I wrote it. The advisor is definitely mistaken because I did not deny writing it.
The principle believes him. He does not trust me. He says that too many teachers have complained about me and that he cannot believe what I say. He denies me admission into the NHS. He says that the teachers are not lying because they have nothing to gain.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

1) SHOULD I GO TO THE SUPERINTENDENT? or is that going to far?
2) SHOULD I JUST DROP IT? because NHS isnt a big deal?

I still think that the Principle and the advisors are wrong in denying me since all I did was write one e-mail and I do a lot of good for the school. And I think that if I told the Superintendent that maybe he will understand.

Or is this a fight that I should back out of? A student going against the entire administration? that's unheard of. But I really think that the Principle is making a mistake.

PLEASE HELP ME!
If you have any questions, ask below.

wow! that sux! im sooo sorry. Go with #1. It’ll take work but you have to fight for the truth. However if NHS isn’t too important to you, I wouldn’t because I have no idea what the consequences of that would be.

i would go with karver, or you could transfer to another school if you want. Wow, an accusation that you didn’t help people led you to this predicament. That’s just really stupid.

This situation sucks. NHS isn’t too big of a deal, though, so it might be easier just to drop it. And sorry to be a stickler…but it’s principal.

it seems like all this fuss about “not helping people” turned into a big ordeal. What exactly did you “not help people” with,if you don’t mind me asking?

My own personal opinion is that you need to win this to get back your reputation. These are the teachers that will be writing your recommendations, and if they’re willing to say these kinds of things to your face, they will have no problem putting it (or even worse rumors you haven’t heard yet) down in writing which they assume you won’t see.

The principle blamed me more on the e-mail than he did on the teacher’s accusations. The teachers are not my teachers im pretty sure, but I think that they are someone who has a grudge against me teacher.

I did write the e-mail though, however like I said, I only wrote it because I was mad and thought that he was unfair.

Should I just drop it? But I really do think that I did nothing wrong. Besides an angry e-mail.

What do you think? I dont even think that the Superintendent is allowed to appeal me but should I e-mail him anyways?

^ first, please answer: what are they accusing you “of not helping people”? What was it that you were suppose to help?

Second, I guess you didn’t get the hint but several people are bothered that you are saying “principle” instead of “principal”. Principle means a basic rule, while Principal is synonymous to headmaster.

Some teacher/s blamed me refusing to help the ESL program or a ESL student but I am not really sure. See even I dont know. That is what really bothers me and of course the principle will trust his staff more than he does me.
