Help me with my college search!

Hi! So, I am a rising senior looking into film school, but I think I will also apply to other schools for communications. Overall, I prefer a city and a medium sized school. Any help would be appreciated!

Job/Work Experience:
local Ice Cream shop from Spring of Sophomore year to October of Junior year
and I will be babysitting everyday after school the entirety of senior year

Volunteer/Community service:
Volunteer at Elementary school in Philly (11th)
Volunteer at women’s center in Philly, preschool department (this summer)
Volunteer at local horse show serving customers (9th, 10th, 11th)

Summer Activities:
International Campers Exchange Program (10th): Went to Germany for a month. Spent a week with a family, a week touring, and two weeks at an international camp.
Counselor in Training (11th): at camp I’ve been attending for 10 years
Junior Counselor (this summer): same camp // also this is a volunteer position
iCan Bike Camp (9th, 10th, 11th): Camp where you help teach special needs kids how to ride a bike. Volunteer position. Also was a student leader in 11th.

I am from Pennsylvania. I attend a small private school. I am a white female.

Emerson is worth a look. Maybe Quinnipiac and Ithaca College too, although they are not in big cities… Temple is larger than your target but it may be a good financial safety since you are in-state. SUNY Purchase is a train ride from NYC and is reasonable even for OOS students.

What can you afford? If it is an issue, have you run the net price calculators for these schools to be sure they are affordable?

you have a good choice of schools and IMO have a good probability of admission

An issue with SCAD is how expensive it is…

Definitely apply to Penn state, Pitt and Temple.
Study methodically for the SAT and aim at the highest possible score since it would likely yield merit aid at many schools.
Have you talked budget with your parents? Do you know how much they can afford out of pocket?
Run the NPC on every college you listed, as well as Ithaca and Chapman.
