I am struggling with a decision to either a) stay at cc for a 3rd year or b) attend ucd or ucsd (if i get accepted from the waitlist).

I am a biological sciences major with a 3.75 (possibly higher after the end of this semester). The problem is that my first choice was ucla, and the reason i didn't get in was for missing too many prereqs. Even though i'd really hate staying another year at cc it might be a good chance to reapply to ucla for next year. Also it might be worth knowing I plan to go to med school.

The prereqs i am missing as of now are (take in mind that my cc goes by the semester system): Organic chemistry, 2nd semester of biology, and 2nd semester of calculus based physics. Thats about 14.5 semester credits or 21.5 semester credits if i take the whole organic chemistry sequence.

What should i do? If i go to ucd or ucsd will it be likely itll take another year to get a b.s.? Will completion of organic chemistry for chem majors meet upper division requirements? (on the cc class info it says that organic chem for chem majors will satisfy the req for med school)

Also what is the likelihood of getting into UCLA if i stay another year assuming my extracurriculars are pretty good?

Sorry for the boat load of questions but it really is a tough decision for me. I really hate cc but im not trying to ruin my path to med school. Thank you all in advance!
