I like the prosthetic leg picture and the one with your mom, but I don't think you'd have to cut her out, just photoshop in some name tags or draw some arrows with "me" and "mom" or something like that. Either is good, in my opinion.

I think I am really leaning towards number 1, the colorful one. Any comments on that? I dunno about the w/mom one. I feel it's not very personalityfull.

... guys they just use the picture to see if they've met you before... as they state on their app. Just send in a good picture of ur face and ur fine. Chances are if you didnt meet any of them it wudn't matter at all anyway.

haha, no they def do not do it to check for race....

they actually dont really care that much, as long as they can say they have x% of a certain race....

i think the one with ur mom, but photoshop her out. they aren't looking for a pic that'll tell a story and they'r def not looking for one where u look like a freak.

but your eyes arent open!! wow sorry but i don't think theyll like that. its not a modeling agency but they are still people who would like to be able to see a picture clearly. and this is arguable...but a lot of the people at upenn and columbia are pretty good looking, not your prototypical geeks. i wonder why..(its been said its the picture that does it!) lol

The "If we've met you before" is BS. They do it to see if you are telling the truth about your race.

Not at all. You're out of your mind if you think progressive/liberal Columbia adcoms are going to be looking at pictures and judging if applicants look "black enough" to get affirmative action.

Nahhh, the closed-eye picture is fine. You look happy and pretty. It's just a snapshot. Optional anyway. But it's perfectly fine as a photo, optional or otherwise.
