I just got accepted to UC Berkeley. However my first semester senior year grades are 2 B's and 2 C's, and the minimum requirements for any term is a 3.0 unweighted GPA. I am in the second semester of my senior year and I am absolutely willing to try my hardest to earn all A's. Can my admission offer be cancelled because of my first semester grades?

Yes, you need a 3.0 for both terms and nothing lower than a C, or your admission can be revoked.

Contact the admissions office immediately and try to work out something with them. Perhaps if you commit to taking and passing a course or two at a CC over the summer, something you might need anyway, in addition to achieving at least a 3.0 in second semester, they may overlook the the 2.5 gpa for first semester. Alternatively, if there is some compelling explanation for what happened, with documentation available to support the story, they might agree to let you enroll.

I was actually considering going there in person and explaining them my situation. I have ADD and was off my medication because our family was experiencing some financial difficulties. The summer at community college is a good idea, and if I do well this semester I think my chances might go up.
