My school does teacher recs through Naviance and teachers can pick and choose which colleges they want the rec to go to. I told my teacher to send his recs to specific colleges, but he sent it to all of them. So, for some colleges, I have a total of 4 recs:
2 humanities
1 science
1 research mentor
What should I do? How many recs are too many?
There’s nothing you can do about it now, so as long as the recs were good, you’re fine
It is probably one more than the ideal number (you could lose one humanities teacher IMO) but it is fine. It’s not like you had some ridiculous number of recommendations sent it on your behalf. Relax.
Do any of your colleges place a limit on how many LOR that you can send? I know some only accept 1-2 along with 1 from a GC.
I’m don’t know much about naviance. My teachers uploaded theirs to the common app so I was able to actually pick and choose which LOR should be sent.
relax, the ones that dont want too many will ignore the extra ones - this is not something to worry about.
