I saw today that the University of Rochester is becoming a test-optional school. To me, this trend is another factor contributing to the need to apply to so many schools–with more emphasis on the subjective fators, there’s less of a certainty that an applicant will even have an idea where he or she is a good fit. It’s frustrating.
Perhaps Vassar would be a good fit. My daughter needs to look at the summary and hopefully it will push her in the right direction for more research. She likes to bring the Fiske Guide with her when he go out to dinner and randomly chose a school that we’ve mentioned to look up, but they all begin to blur together.
