gahh, i can't believe it. I just mailed out my yale application (lol, i used up the commonapp online when i was doing the national college match) BUT I FORGOT to answer the "why yale" part.....

I need advice , please~

should i send them an email w/ my response? or...should i just forget about yale?

Dang. Well you can try e-mailing them, and HOPEFULLY they'll be understanding.

I had a friend who wanted to play around with his admission, so he submitted his application at exactly 11:59PM, but the application bounced back due to a server overload. However, he e-mailed Cornell, and they still accepted his application...but he did get deferred for ED.

Try your luck. Not much to do now but pray.

I would mail the essay, postmarked by deadline, with request inside to please attach to your file, indicating your ID#, name and high school. Also clearly mark on outside of envelope, what's inside.
I'd also suggest emailing them telling what happened and that essay is on the way ..maybe even attaching the essay as word doc.
I'd also call them if you can get through.
Colleges can be quite flexible about these things, lots of people make inadvertant mistakes, so give it a try.
