I do not attend an elite university?
The average ACT score is a 27.
U of M's is 28.
What makes U of M so superior? (Besides that you are an arrogant U of M elitist)

Thanks for the name calling! At any rate, I was not attempting to be arrogant and I do not recall saying Michigan was superior. I was merely giving you advice. If I was too blunt, I appologize.

The point I was trying to make is that a students from the likes of Chicago, Cornell, MIT or Caltech may get away with a 3.2 or 3.3 GPAbecause those schools are acdemically very intense, but students from most universities, including good, top 100 universities like yours, generall require slightly higher grades if they want a good chance of getting in. As such, I was advising you to do your best to maintain a 3.5+ GPA. As I mentioned several times above, do not worry about things you cannot control. Get the best grades possible and the rest will take care of itself.

PS: The mean ACT score for Michigan entering class last year was 29, not 28. But that doesn't matter. I am one of those weirdos who does not believe that selectivity and quality are perfectly related.

my guess is that you go to American in DC... I've met a couple AU transfers at UM
