I’m in my junior year of high school and I’ve been recently thinking a lot about colleges. I’m planning on studying marketing and will be trying to apply to my dream school NYU. Currently I have a 3.3 unweighted Gpa (3.6 uw) and have taken a total of 6 honors courses, no APs, (I’m planning on taking AP Psych and Ap Spanish in my senior year, along with statistics honors and precalc. Recently I’ve had quite a bit of bad luck. My semester gpa was a horrid 3.3 weighted and I am working to try and bump that up to at least a 3.7 (as high as I can get it really), and I mostly have had high bs and As in my freshman and sophmore year. Still haven’t taken the Act or the Sat but scored a 1100 on the PSAT, and I’m hoping to do my best on both. EC are pretty good too, I have acquired over 75 hours of community service so far, play varsity soccer, student council and peer leadership 1 year and I am part of AMBYESE YES I CAN, a program that allows students to explore businesses and study their inner workings. I also played on premier soccer clubs throughout most of my high school years. Given all this info, what are my chances of getting into schools such as NYU, or Penn State, or BU or Villanova. Are they unrealistic or am I just panicking any info would be great thank you! Btw those 2 of those C+s are from quarter grades and 1 is from my midterm. And I just received a C+ quarter grade in my English class.
