Help Please!!

I am a junior in high school from New York and I am really interested in Pepperdine and I wanted to know a few things...

What is the criteria like for admissions?

Do you need a lot of volunteer hours?

Is a 3.7 GPA unweighted, good enough?

What is campus like?

Where is the closest beach?

Is it a diverse community?

How is the swim program?

Is it big on school spirit?

What is something that makes the school unique?

What are the winters like?

Is this considered to be a prestigious school?

I can answer a few of these! I got in with a 3.7 GPA, so you should be fine. Winters are mild, usually about 50-65 degrees. It never snows but sometimes it rains. I wouldn’t consider Pepp “prestigious”, but around SoCal it has a good reputation.

I agree with nkayyy I got in with a 3.7 GPA so you should be fine. I think you should do volunteer hours just because Pepperdine is big on volunteer services. The community in Pepperdine is becoming more diverse but it’s not the most diverse campus out there. It’s really not big on school spirit but people get really pumped up for the beginning of basketball season, so if going to a school with big school spirit is big for you this might not be the best school to go to. What I like about Pepperdine is that you can really feel the sense of community here and I find a lot of professors that really care.
