Help, por favor?

Hi! I'll just pray this is the right forum. :D

I need advice on boarding schools in general.

For the 2013-2014 school year, I’ll definitely be applying to Interlochen, Idyllwild, Phillips Academy, Putney, and Northfield Mount Hermon. For the first two, I’d be specializing in piano/music in general.

My final grades for sixth grade were straight As and my final grades for this year will all be in the B to A- range. I’m somewhat of a teacher’s pet, so I’m pretty sure I can get good teacher recommendations.

I only have a few extracurriculars. I’m in my school’s Ecology Club and have been for the past two years. I taught myself piano for two years before starting private lessons in third grade, which gives me 5-7 years of experience. I have three years of trombone and a year of violin with me. I was on the school newspaper last year and took voice lessons up until last month. I’ve also been in the All-School Musical for the past two years.

So, what are my chances of getting into them? Should I try to add more extracurriculars for next year? Also, does anyone know of any other good schools with strong arts programs?

Thank you!

Add more extracurriculars only if you enjoy them. I heard Choate has strong arts programs. Chancing is useless. Good luck.
