Help... prospective transfer student

HELP... please!

GWU is my number one choice to transfer to.

My stats:
SAT: 1370
SAT II: 620, 640, 580
HS GPA: 4.0 (weighted) 3.5 (unweighted)- very prestigious public school- #1 in the state.
COLLEGE GPA: 3.3 (3.0 first semester, 3.65 second semester) - a very prestigious top liberal arts college
(Grades are not to stellar but my EC's are great)
A ton of EC's and awards in Model Congress, Model UN, Junior Statesmen of America, Freedom's Answer, Mock Trial and Lacrosse.
Interned on the hill (Sophomore year) and interning this summer at the governor's office (youngest intern to be accepted in the legislative department).
One excellent rec and one good rec I would assume.
I was also chosen as a rep for Girl's State and won about eight speaking/ debate awards.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

i think you'll get it!
if your taking any summer classes do well in those.. depending on when you are going to transfer.

Your high school stats would have gotten you in for sure, but GW (like most colleges) rely heavily on the college record for transfer admissions. So, I would suggest you write an addendum / include in your essay a reason for why you had a rocky start, but then be sure to highlight the fact that you did get your grades up.

Great! Thanks so much! I got a C- in a math class and that is why my GPA dropped my first semester. What should I tell them?

hey! i'm a student @ smith college, i'm applying to transfer as well - for spring semester. what college are ya coming from?
