Help! Questions for Current Students

Fulbright, (have many LLC floors around) Lafetette and the Vern are really good places for your child to live next year. I would say that HOVA is most ideal...but it's not going to be open to FROSH next year. sigh

I am still trying to decide between GW, University of Richmond and Fairfield Univeristy. I'm going up to visit GW again next week. I'm very involved in Dance, Theater, and Tennis. Are arts big at GW? I definitely want to be involved in greek life as well. I'm from Nashville, TN and that's a huge southern tradition. Also...if you didn't apply for a Presidential Arts Scholarship this year, can you apply as a sophomore if you attend GWU?

We have some really good theater groups on campus that you can get involved with. I have friends who are in dance groups on campus and LOVE IT! You'll find the perfect group for yourself...Trust! (I'm a former dancer myself!)

I was accepted into the Honors Program which I want to do but I am debating whether I should do Honors Housing or not. I know they have their own townhouse but would Honors Housing negatively impact my social life or the party scene? Also are all classes that I would take part of the honors programs or are some of the basic requirements/electives not honors?

No way! It you really want to party, you can. It doesn't matter where you live, seriously.

You take a mixture of Honors classes/GCR's, I think.

thanks so much for the quick response!! That's so exciting and sounds like a lot of fun! i can't wait to vist again!

that last post was from me...someone else must have been logged on! again..i can't wait to visit! thanks

ryanmary-- I live in MA and know Fairfiled well... I would definitely reccomend GW and URichmond over Farifield academically. Otherwise, I think the decision depends on what you're planning on studying and what you look for in a university.

Ryanmary:

If you didn't get a presidential scholarship this year, I think you become elligible for one next year if you have a 3.7 and have a certain number of credits per semester. I'm not sure if it's a half scholarship or what, but I know that people are considered for that at the end of the spring semester.

thank you so much! those responses are really helpful! ya'll are awesome!
