<p>I kinda need to know quite urgently..
On CC, swarthmore students refere to themselves as 'Swatties'
but I once read that the official term for Swarthmore students is 'Swarthmorean'
Can someone please tell me which one it is? Because I would like to use that term in my essay, and am not sure which one to use!</p>

<p>“Swatties” is the current term in general usage.</p>

<p>I am currently a freshman at Swat and we talked about this during the first week. “Swattie” refers to anyone currently going to Swarthmore while “Swarthmorean” refers to an alum. So, while you are at Swat you are a “Swattie” and once you graduate you become a “Swarthmorean.”</p>
