Im a international student currently researching about Swarthmore. When I browsed on a site, it said some of the Swatties' favorites are:
1.Arboretum
2.Sager, Screw Your Roommate, and all of the weird, fun, and unique traditions
3.Administration and Public Policy officers are there to help you, not get you in trouble.

Can any current students or people who knows Swarthmore very well help me understand about these three statements? I mean, what's special about the arboretum? What are the interesting traditions in Swathmore? What does the student mean in the 3rd statement?

Also, I heard that Swarthmore is extremely liberal because of its Quaker tradition. Can anyone tell me where shows Swarthmore's "liberal"? Specifically? Is that the biggest reason most Swatties choose the school?

Finally, is anyone willing to chance me?
