Can you explain how you came to that decision?
Congratulations by the way

Thought about it a good bit. Reasons:

ā¢Better program for my plans. Iām in the NHS school and will have an option for auto-acceptance to medical school. Will major in Healthcare Management and Policy. NHS is affiliated and is a block away from with Georgetown MedStar Hospital so I can easily get experience. I also looked through the courses; I will enjoy it a lot more at Georgetown. At ASU Iād have to do a science major like bio to get the classes I need and I wouldnāt enjoy a strict science major like that. Iāll also enjoy the small classes and Jesuit-minded profs. It feels more personal, everyone really cares about the students.

ā¢Better location. Right by a hospital, in DC where thereās tons of diverse opportunities for healthcare experience from a clinical and policy perspective, <1hr from home, I like DC way more than Tempe and am familiar with it. Lots more to do, can come home whenever I want. I can commute from home to summer internships or take summer classes.

ā¢Connections. Georgetown name means something if I decide I donāt want to go to medical school. I could still get a great job with a hospital or in a field like consulting. My dad also works there and has a high-level position, so Iāll have more clout if I need to swap a class or get a recommendation letter from someone important.

ā¢Cost isnāt as big as an issue as I may have believed it to be. I wonāt have any undergrad debt. If I do make it all the way to any grad school, Iāll have financial help.

Barrett is an awesome program but I think my perspective of the whole thing was gilded. Georgetown will open more doors, will be more enjoyable, is very well-regarded, whilst being close to home.

Itās official! Enrollment deposit verified and ASU declined. Tbb is now a Hoya. :)

Congratulations!

And thanks for explaining your choice so well :)

Congratulations!

Definitely GU, but I see you already made the choice.
Congratulations.
