help, urgent

One of my teacher reco returned back to my post box as undelivered. Naturally, I want to fax it to adcoms. Will it make the difference if I fax my own recos? Will colleges inquire with the concerned teacher? Can I fax it MYSELF?

recos can never be faxed.......they should be sent by the teacher himself(or you) by sealing it with the college seal and his/her signature.

i know that but it may be faxed since it is undelivered. I thought some of them did that.

Mail the Adcom telling your situation and repost it ..with seal!!!

You should ask your teacher to resend the documents through snail mail. If not possible, ask your teacher to scan her recommendation with her signature and your high school's seal and send it through her email address. Don't attempt to do it yourself; colleges don't regard recommendations which are not confidential to be of much use.

inform the admission office ASAP! they'll tell you what to do. some will allow an exception but still, check with them on what to do. and by alerting them, at least they'll know what is happening and note why the document may be arriving late. keep them updated.
