Help us choose between Nobles and BB&N, please - they seem so similar

Would appreciate any and all advice. Thank you.

Tell us more about the student …. Sports interests etc. which is closer… traffic is bananas so that’s not insignificant.

They are very similar. Without knowing something about your kid, interests, sports, etc there’s not much to say.

Is BB&N back to doing their freshman camping trip? That looks crazy fun if it’s your kind of thing.

And I totally agree that choosing between those two I’d take drive time into consideration. (Unless there was a strong draw for a sport or activity)

Will your child be able to attend the revisit days? The schools definitely have a different “feel” - both the students and the physical plant. Feel free to email me - I had a child at BB&N and Milton.

Thank you! My child is quiet, likes sports but not an athlete, loves art, music, drama. Organized, likes structure, not very outgoing. Does that make one school a better fit in your view?

I would lean toward BBN if not an athlete but see what they think on revisit.

Is BB&N less sporty than nobles? I had the impression they were kind of similar (but that might be because my son was an athlete???)

OP I’d suggest you ask about the athletic requirement. The BS often require at least two seasons of sports participation. Because BB&N is a day school and nobles is practically a day school those rules may be different.

I perceive BBN to be less sporty partly because Nobles is very very sporty. Both are more sporty than say Concord (though Concord has some serious athletes of course).

I think of BB&N as regular school sporty. Nobles is a Div1 feeder in several sports. My daughter will be in 9th grade at BB&N in the Fall. Would love to hear about recent experiences there. Academics, culture, inclusiveness, facilities, social life. Thank you!
