Help - Washington University St.Louis

I'm a senior in HS right now and know for certain that I would like to eventually work in the financial sector. Does anybody know how well the Olin School of Business at WashU places undergrads at top companies (ie MS, Lehman, Citi, Goldman)?? Right now, I'm deciding between WashU and UChicago and could really use the help!!

Thanks in advance!

Do you want to study business or economics? Do you want an academic experience or a more pre-professional experience?

UChicago is a wonderful school with a fantastic econ program, but one should remember that students here study econ as a discipline first and think about putting it into practice later. What I mean is that while many of our grads may end up in business, they still go through our great-books-based core curriculum and come out with a sense of learning how to learn. The UChicago community is highly academic, too, and most of the econ majors I know have distinct interests in other disciplines (philosophy, sociology, political science, psychology, anthropology, etc.) and so their study of one discipline helps to inform the other.

Olin is more applied and more results-based. If you want to gear your education towards what comes next, I would suggest Olin.

thanks unalove!! I'm more interested in a career based path but I also love the UChicago approach, only trying to look out for the best move after college
