Hi, I am a rising junior and would like to know what schools have a good accelerated medical program and what credentials I will need to get in.
I’m sorry I don’t have much advice for you since I’m going to be a rising junior myself. First of all, congrats on your stats - they look amazing! Im sure you can get into the top schools with scores like that. I was just wondering how you got medical research and internships done…I really would like to do that myself but I don’t know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ty!

You’re a genius! I’m sure that you can get into one of the best programs out there. One that I know that is really exclusive is the 7 year med program at Northwestern University.

The best programs, e.g. Rice/Baylor, Brown, Case, are not accelerated. Northwestern, also one of the best, is not really “accelerated”. Rather, NW compresses 4 years of undergrad work into a very demanding three years.

Google. There are various lists, some are more up to date than others. Lists are your starting point. Go to websites of programs or you interest, research on-line, ask adcoms vial email, compile excel spreadsheet with important information for each school on your list. Rice/Baylor, Brown, Case, Northwestern ar the most popular and extremely hard to get in. However, if you like these Medical Schools, apply regular route during junior year of college if you do not get to their combined bs/md. They are easier to get in Regular Route than to their respective bs/md. There are many other bs/md’s that are a bit less selctive but all of them are very hard to get in. Good luck!

Your stats look excellent! Penn State/ Jefferson Med. is an accelerated six year program along with Neoucom in Ohio. I also have heard of University of Rochester and UMKC having 6 yr. programs

From what I know, Rochester is 4+4. RPI has a 7 year program.

Your stats are excellent. To get into these exclusive programs, you need to show that you have interest by doing research, shadowing doctors etc.

How are you able to do all this while you are still a junior in high school?

3 Research Studies (At Duke University Medical Center)
Research program at NCSSM
Hospital Volunteering (~250 hours)
Operative Assistant in Indian Hospitals
4 Year Paid Computer Science Internship with NSF
