help with chances? i only got 1 post earlier..

I come from a small, private, college prep day school on the east coast and it is very well known with the colleges around the nation. We have about 60 kids in each grade, most likely 15-20 will go on to the ivy leauge universitys.

However, i am not one of them
-I am planning to be a Musical Theatre Major, and possibly communications minor.
-My current stats are : 3.1 GPA (eh)
620 cr. 640 math. 660 writing.

Classes:
this year im taking -- calculus, AP psychology, AP environmental science, english electives and honors government.

jr year -- precalc, english electives, US history, chemistry 2 (sort of like honors)
** most kids at my school dont take AP's until senior year, and are only taking 2-3)

-ec's include:
- many, many musical theatre shows and plays. (over 10 on my resume right now for recent years)
- yearbook staff
- acting / dance / voice classes outside of highschool every week
- head of performance club at my school
- lacrosse since 7th grade (varsity as a sophmore, captain this upcoming season)
- field hockey 7th-10th grade, winter track 11th grade.
- i have been in 2 independent movies
- have a job every summer
- 40 hours of community service.. sort of lame but oh well.
- peer counciling

-awards and stuff..
- excellent rating at vocal competition in my state
- all state chorus
- chorus award / directors award (both at school)
- a story i wrote got selected for a literay magizine

yeah im probably forgetting stuff but thats basically it. My list, as of now, goes as following -- its long i know im still working on getting rid of some:

NYU (extreme reach, but its an amazing theatre school.. so why not)
BU
Elon
Emerson
Loyola College of MD
American University
Syracuse
Rollins College
Villanova
Fordham
JMU
Charleston
Clemson
Univ. of South Carolina
UNCW

thanks for your time =] and be nice, if you can. hah

well i know that if you want in on a theatre school, just go for an interview and show them what you can do, I've known people with GPA's in the 2.XXs and they still got into the theatre school of their choice because of their interview and how well my school is known (and yes, one of these kids got into NYU)

your grades are not incredible but they arent horrible either....your sats will help you as well and what is most important is your audition....you seem like you have a good amount of experience.....i am a freshman at syracuse right now for acting and love it....definitely an incredible program and continually improving but the key to the auditions is to be yourself....they are not looking for a professional audition or you wouldn't need to go to school. what they want is someone they can shape and direct and work with. so be open to anything and be yourself ESPECIALLY with syracuse...noone is the same it is not a cookie cutter school eveyrone is different and has something to offer....show the schools that you have something to offer talent wise and personality wise and you will be fine.....good luck with everything
